And the season begins........
The #56 Fox Valley Staffing 4 cyl started on the inside 4th row, and didnt take long to get into a side by side battle. At the drop of the green Chris moved to the out side of the #6 car of Randy Sonkowsky and proceeded to battle for the duration of the race. Each car trying the inside and outside lines trying to get an advantage on the other. The last lap got a bit exciting with both cars going for the same piece of race track in turns 1 and 2 with Sonkowsky getting a little sideways, with some help from Chris's front bumper. Chris let up to allow Randy to gather his car back up. From there Chris set up for the final turn coming of of turn 4 and ending the race side by side, but just short of beating the #6 car to the line. But we'll take a 7th place finish to start the season out

Well, another year of racing is only a week away and all is well in the CCS / Hauser camp. The #56 Fox Valley Staffing 4cyl is ready to go and was out for practice last Tuesday and we are pretty happy with the results. We where able to run consistent laps after trying a few different setups and found one that was comfortable for both car and driver, Chris “Bam Bam” Shields. Our best times were 19.3, which going off of last years times would put us pretty competitive within the field. With a bit of work on both car and driver, we should be able to improve on that.
As for the #4 Fox Valley Staffing Super Stock, that has been pretty much ready to go for a while now with the exception of a few odds and ends. We will be burning the midnight oil for the next week to complete every thing before the opening night next Thursday night. Look for a familiar, but with a new twist in the paint job on this car this year. After 10+ years with the “Doogie” paint job Doogz has nightmares about the color green and has now painted his lawn blue!
Make sure you come and see us next Thursday May 22nd for the opening night of Thursday Night Thunder at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. Located ½ mile east of Hwy 55 on Cty KK.
